Riyadh Season has reached Los Angeles and on Saturday night (6 p.m. ET, ESPN+ PPV), Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) faces WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) in a highly anticipated bout at BMO Stadium. For most fighters, moving up in weight to capture another title is a career-defining feat. For Crawford, who has already held titles in three divisions, it has become almost routine.
Crawford, known for his exceptional fight IQ and technical ability, faces Madrimov, a naturally bigger and stronger opponent. While Crawford told Yahoo Sports he is confident in his body's readiness to compete at 154 pounds, some believe he may be underestimating the risk. Madrimov's trainer, Joel Diaz, suggested that Crawford, who began his pro career in 2009 at super lightweight, could face more danger than anticipated against a solid 154-pound fighter like Madrimov. At BetMGM, Crawford is a -600 favorite to defeat Madrimov, who is at +450.

Madrimov is eager for a breakthrough and sees the Crawford bout as a chance to transform his and his family's lives. Crawford, however, insists he's focused on fighting the best, not just setting up future paydays against stars like Canelo Alvarez.
A victory for Crawford would further solidify his legacy, potentially earning him a fourth world title in as many weight classes. As "Bud" continues to gain recognition beyond hardcore boxing fans, a win on this star-studded Riyadh Season card could elevate his profile even further.

WBA junior middleweight champion Israil Madrimov will put his belt on the line Saturday evening when he takes on one of boxing's pound-for-pound kings, Terence Crawford. The fight is Crawford's first at the weight and also his first time back in the ring since thrashing Errol Spence Jr. in July 2023 to become undisputed welterweight champion.
Madrimov is an accomplished amateur fighter who became world champion in his most recent outing, just the 11th of his professional career. He faces a much stiffer test than ever before in his career in Crawford, who not only was undisputed champ at welterweight, but also junior welterweight, as well as winning a world championship at lightweight.
Saturday has one of the deepest undercards, by boxing standards, of the year. Despite losing a great matchup between Tim Tszyu and Vergil Ortiz Jr., there's plenty of action that should draw interest before we reach the main event. Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz looks to defend his WBA junior welterweight title against Jose Valenzuela in the co-main event. Former unified heavyweight king Andy Ruiz returns from a two-year layoff to take on a man known more for his transgressions out of the ring in Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller.
CBS Sports will be with you throughout the entire way on Saturday, beginning with the start of the pay-per-view broadcast at 6 p.m. ET, so be sure to follow along with the live results and highlights below.
Fight card, results
Israil Madrimov (c) vs. Terence Crawford, WBA junior middleweight title
Isaac Cruz (c) vs. Jose Valenzuela, WBA junior welterweight title
Andy Ruiz vs. Jarrell Miller, heavyweights

Terence Crawford is used to daring to be greater by now. After becoming a lightweight world champion, “Bud” clinched back-to-back undisputed crowns at super lightweight and welterweight.
The consensus pound-for-pound best in the sport will now go for a fourth-division title tonight when he clashes with WBA junior middleweight world champion Israil Madrimov at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and live on DAZN.
Of course, Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) is coming off a signature performance in a dazzling ninth-round TKO of Errol Spence Jr. last summer to become the undisputed king at 147 pounds.
He moves up in weight to fight Madrimov (10-0, 7 KOs) who produced a fifth-round TKO of Magomed Kurbanov to grab the WBA 154-pound title his last time out in March.
Will the generational great Crawford add another chapter to his already legendary career by becoming a four-division world champion in yet another scintillating performance? Or will Madrimov shock the world with a stunning upset in recording his first title defense and biggest win to date?
